Last fall as I returned to Slow Dance from the showers at Harborwalk Marina in Georgetown, SC, I noticed a beautiful boat on the face dock. I knew I’d seen it or pictures of it before, but where? I walked straight to the face dock, and as soon as I saw the name “MIRAMAR” I knew it was the restored Huckins that I’d read about in Power and Motoryacht magazine!

As I stood, mesmerized by the beauty of this vintage motoryacht, I saw a couple leaving the upper helm to come down to the dock. It was Keith and Kerri Johnson, the owners that had done so much of the refitting themselves! Meeting them and seeing “MIRAMAR” up close was a highlight of our long weekend in Georgetown. Click on the Love and Boating link below to read the full story of the couple and the beautiful Huckins motoryacht they saved.
