PassageMaker Magazine, October 2018.  An excellent article by Tom Hale

Cruising the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) from Virginia to Florida is a bucket list dream for many cruisers. While the prospect of making the trip of more than 1,000 nautical miles may seem daunting, it needn’t be intimidating. Essentially it is just a series of day trips, and each year thousands of cruisers make the run. Here are a few ideas to keep in mind to make planning and executing this trip easier.

Coinjock, NC ~ Wednesday, June 26, 2019.  For years we’ve heard about Coinjock Marina and their restaurant’s famous prime rib.  Last night we learned we weren’t the only ones that have heard about it.

The marina is one long face dock that attracts some very big boats.  Last night we docked behind the beautiful, 128’ Lady Kath.  In front of Lady Kath was a beautiful vintage Hatteras, and a beautifully refitted Berger, home port Newport, RI. We have seen some amazing boats on this trip. More importantly, we’ve met some wonderful people — and Kate has made some new “fur-friends.”

Next port, Hampton, VA.
