December 23, 1945 ~ October 18, 2020

 Although your smile
 Is sorely missed
 Fond memories linger on.
 And when I think of
 The times that we had
 Only pleasant thoughts
 Are known.

 The sound of your laughter
 Still rings in my ears,
It's so sad in many a way.
But I know in the future
 We'll meet again,
 So, I look forward
 To that day.

 Our world’s not
 The same
 Without you my friend...
 Our world’s
 Just not the same.

 “Dickie” T

Today, in your memory, we drink 1820 Coffee, and tonight, I will smoke one of your pipes with your favorite tobacco. As it says on the 1820 bag, “Always with you.”

Rest In Peace.

From SoundingsOnline. My unusual adventures aboard a beautiful 1930s-era power yacht. By Capt. Lou Boudreau

The 110-foot Electra

It was 1992 and I was captain of a lovely old 110-foot power yacht named Electra. She was a creation of the 1930s, with none of the chrome and fiberglass that one sees so often today. Electra echoed the charm of a bygone era of rich teak brightwork and lovely mahogany. The interior was restored to its original grandeur, complete with grand piano, stained-glass hatches and polished brass fittings. Read on…

Soundings is one of my favorite boating magazines. That’s why I’ve been a subscriber for over 20 years, and follow Sounding on Twitter, and Soundings on Instagram.

If you’re a boater, you should be a Soundings subscriber, too! In the words of Henry David Thoreau, “Dwell as near as possible to the channel in which your life flows.”
