There is more to cruising than simply riding in a boat. When cruising, we see the beauty of God’s creation from a different perspective. Places we may have visited by car are seen differently when visited by boat. Merriam-Webster defines Americana as: materials concerning or characteristic of America, its civilization, or its culture; broadly: things typical of America. Today is the first day of sharing a part of a cruiser’s “Americana” in pictures, as we Think Outside the Boat.

Oh Captain My Captain

Since “Slow Dance” is waiting out the storms in Chesapeake, and I am posting from my writing room, it seemed appropriate to post a “from the writing room sunrise.” In the distance, beyond the marsh is the ICW. On the other side of the ICW to the right is Sullivan’s Island, and to the center is the southern tip of the Isle of Palms. We never get tired of this view.
